Importance of Nutrition

Good nutrition is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle. Combined with physical activity, your diet can help you reach and maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk of chronic disease (like heart disease and cancer), and promote your overall health.
Making a healthy and easy smoothie protein shake is by far my most favorite meal substitution or supplement in my every day lifestyle.
Ingredients You Need :
1) A cup of frozen berries ( strawberries, blueberries or mixed berries) why frozen? cos its more convenient and economical. of cos, if you have access to fresh berries, that will do too.
2) Bananas or Pineapples : these two types of fruits are very high in fiber, potassium, Vit B6 and enzymes and add sweetness to your shake. Do you know that they also contain nutrients that moderated blood sugar levels?
3) 25g of protein - you can get this from any protein shake supplements. Proteins are so important to maintain muscles in our body, prevent us from losing muscles as we age.
4) 200ml of water, Yakult or milk - depending on your preference, add 200ml of fluid to the above and blend well.
5) Sip it slowly with a straw and Enjoy :)
